Let's get to know each other!

Help us get to know you! Tell us what you like to do, what sports you play, places you visited this summer. We will enjoy learning more about each other! Click on the link for your homeroom, then click on your name to find your very own wiki page for the year. Be sure to visit the pages of other classmates and leave comments for them!

Please help us with our data project. We want to learn where our visitors are from and which pages they visit. Click here to take a quick 1-2 minute survey. We promise it won't be any longer than that!

Mrs. Harper

When I’m not teaching or exploring the Internet, I love to travel, exercise, read and spend time with my family and friends. I have 3 sons. Brian is grown and lives in Washington, DC; Kevin is 11 and Cormac is 9. We also have a crazy puppy named Trevi. She is a yellow lab and we love her. We enjoy many family activities and just hanging around together.

I have traveled to some interesting places and I always seem to end up climbing something when I'm there--whether it's a pyramid or a cathedral dome. I will share some of my stories with you this year. I'm looking forward to getting to know all of you and sharing an exciting year together!

Mrs. Allen

Hi Flamingo Flyers,

I am Mrs. Allen and am looking forward to meeting all of you. When I not in school I teach fitness classes to adults and enjoy cooking and making healthful nutritious meals. I have a grown daughter who is also a teacher and lives in Virginia, not too far from Mrs. Harper's son Brian. Meredith teaches in a K-5 school in Woodbridge VA. Her school is called Antietam, and their logo is a mustang (horse). She is an Instructional Technology Resource Teacher and works with teachers and students to create awesome lessons and helps kids learn computer skills. I miss her but we talk almost everyday and get to see each other as often as we can. My son is Luke, and right now he is living in the area working, surfing, saving money and working on his art work. He is a graphic designer and illustrator and he has been working on a real cool animated music video.

I also love animals, gardening, traveling, beautiful jewelry, art, and meeting new people to name a few. I have a dog named Sheena, who is 15 and a guest dog named Zoie. I have had Zoie as my house guest for over a year. She belongs to my cousin who is a Marine. She is full of a lot of energy and keeps us on our toes. Sheena is a shetland sheepdog and looks like a minature Lassie and Zoe is part pug and maltese. Our Sheena is quite a lady and a wonderful friend. She still has a lot of energy and can run and jump with the rest of the dogs. I really think that exercise and good nutrition has helped her be a wonderful pet and stay in good health.

I can't wait to spend the next 10 months with all of you. Mrs. Harper and I have a great team and love working together and with all of you. Third graders are incredible people and can accomplish and learn so much! Mrs. Harper and I have been doing this together for 20 years. So you are all in a special anniversay class.

I will see you all on September 6, 2007. Here's to a great year learning, and growing together as Flamingo Flyers !!!!

Don't forget to bring a snack on Thursday.

Mrs. Allen

Mrs. Schneider

Hello to the Harper-Allen Team! I am Mrs. Schneider, the student teacher who will be working with the Flamingo Flyers this fall. When I have any spare time, I like to be near the lake. I love to go fishing, boating, canoeing, and rock collecting when I am there. Yes, I like to spend as much time as possible outdoors.

I have two cats named Molly and Mr. Moe. Molly actually traveled across the ocean with us! She is a German cat. Mr. Moe joined us later. Although the two are very different from each other, they both enjoy spending time with me when I am at home reading a good book.

I can’t wait to meet all of you. I know this will be a great year for the team!

Miss Baker

Hello Everyone!

I am Brittany Baker and I will be student teaching with Mrs. Allen for the next six weeks! When I am not at school or taking classes I am either working at the YMCA or reading a good book at the Pittsford Library.

I enjoy spending time with my friends and family and my cat Kind Louie! I love to read, dance, travel and shop.

I’m excited to get to know all of you and work with you over the next six weeks!
